How to Join the Y

Joining the Greater Waterbury YMCA is easy- to become a member, just visit the front desk during your next visit to the Y and sign up.

Membership Fees

The Greater Waterbury YMCA offers several membership options to suit your needs. YMCA Financial Assistance is available through the Open Doors Program to qualifying families and individuals for YMCA membership.  Unless otherwise specified, memberships are an annual contract for the first year.

Try one day for Free 

Try out the YMCA for free for one day. This pass is valid for any community member who has never visited the Greater Waterbury YMCA. It is only for one-time use. Contact the Welcome Center for details. This pass is only valid for those 19 and over!

*included in the initial payment is a one-time $50 joiner fee for new adult, senior, and young adult membership or a $60 joiner fee for a new family, senior couple, and single-parent family memberships. The joiner's fee may also be charged if a member has been inactive for more than 12 months. 

** 2 adults plus children membership are any children living in the same household under the age of 18. Young Adults in college from 18-25 years old can be on this membership but must be full-time students & provide a full-time college schedule.

*** Once the young adult turns 30, the membership rate will go up to the adult rate after 30 days. The member will be emailed, mailed, and called to inform them that the rate will increase.
